Mediation with Us

Parents considering mediation with us are encouraged to start by using the website fitting their circumstances.

Each of these websites has a “Mediate with” link that parents can use to fill out an important electronic intake form. All these resources are free and can give a good picture of our thoughts on how parents succeed by making a priority of their children’s needs.

While we mediate all issues that parents wish to bring to mediation, including financial ones, we typically begin with any unresolved child issues (for example, how the parents will make parenting decisions and shield their children from conflict, meet any special needs of their children, and support their children’s best possible relationship with both parents). Often resolving these issues in mediation can allow for easier resolution of property and financial issues, whether that occurs in mediation or in later separate discussions with attorneys. Mediation belongs to the parents, so they and their attorneys determine what issues are addressed in mediation.

With this child-focused mediation model, most parents can save money, move to a more peaceful and cooperative future, and use meeting their children’s needs as a path to meeting their own needs.
